Wedding Jewellery for the Traditional Bride

The jewellery you wear on your wedding day will ultimately be very special to you for the rest of your life. If you like a bit of tradition, we feel that your wedding jewellery can achieve all of your something old, new, borrowed and blue.

Something Old

You know already that something old usually comes from your gran or another older relative. But an amazing idea is to incorporate jewellery from those that may have passed that meant a lot to you. Incorporating wedding rings into you wedding jewellery is a really touching tribute. You can remodel the old jewellery to match your wedding style of keep as is, it’s up to you.

Something New

Earrings are the perfect item to buy new for the big day. If you are doing a classic up do these beauties will be in full display. You can go full statement or with a simple stud but I am a big fan of the sparkly kind. Crystals, diamonds or gemstones, you cannot go wrong.

Something Borrowed

For something borrowed I think it is the perfect excuse to wear something that belongs to a special lady in your life. Whether that’s your mum, gran, auntie or one of your bridesmaids. It truly means the world having something to remind you of them during your day. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to raid your mum’s jewellery box, now is the perfect time.

Something Blue

Something blue is a classic wedding jewellery tradition. If you are lucky enough to have someone that has a sapphire or blue topaz piece you can combine something borrowed and blue. Two birds one stone. Or even combine old, borrowed and blue!
