A lovely example of this is a pair of wedding bands we created for Sarah and Johnny.

Sarah and Johnny wanted their wedding bands to have a really personal meaning, so they brought us sentimental gold from both sides of their families.

Rather than simply choosing two new bands from a collection, we melted down the sentimental gold and used it to create their wedding rings.

The result was just stunning - see the wedding bands picured below with the engagement ring also created by us. Two completely new wedding bands, but with something incredibly special at their heart - a piece of both families going with them into their marriage.

It's this kind of story that makes jewellery remodelling so meaningful. The finished piece might be new, but the story behind it isn't.

2. Create a Bespoke Piece From Family Jewellery

Sometimes you inherit jewellery that you don't necessarily want to wear in its original form.

One of our bespoke commissions was created as a 30th birthday gift from a mother to her son.

She brought us sentimental gold and wanted to turn it into something completely personal for him. We used the gold to create a bespoke signet ring, finished with the family's emblem incorporated into the design.

Instead of buying a generic 30th birthday present, she was able to give her son something that represented both his family and his history.

A piece of jewellery with a story behind it will always feel a little more special.

3. Give Old Diamonds or Gemstones a New Setting

It's not just the metal that can sometimes be reused.

If you have an old piece of jewellery containing diamonds or gemstones, these can potentially be removed and incorporated into a new design, depending on their condition and suitability.
