platinum
Platinum is one of the most popular metals in wedding bands due to its superior hardness and stronger durability than gold and that’s why we also custom design men’s diamond wedding bands in platinum. Platinum group metals are completely hypoallergenic so will never turn yellow or tarnish with less chance of scratching. Platinum is whiter in colour than traditional rhodium-plated white gold and is a beautiful choice for your wedding band. Although more expensive than gold, it is worth the expense for a ring which is to symbolize your happy future together.
palladium
Like other platinum metals, palladium is vastly superior to gold in terms of hardness and durability. Whiter than traditional rhodium-plated white gold, palladium will never tarnish and is completely hypoallergenic. It is also less expensive than 950 platinum with mainly the same benefits making it a fantastic choice for men’s diamond wedding bands.
white gold
White gold is created using pure yellow gold which is then alloyed with white toned metals. Most white gold jewellery has a rhodium, a type of platinum, overlay to stop the yellow tinge of white gold after alloying. Although this overlay will wear off over time, it can be reapplied quickly and hence it is easy to keep the men’s diamond wedding bands in perfect condition. Our tip to anyone not wanting this additional maintenance is to choose a 950 platinum or palladium wedding band, which are permanently white metals.
black zirconium
A strong, corrosion-resistant metal which comes in a lustrous black colour, black zirconium will not fade. Unlike most black rings, which rely on a dark industrial overlay, black zirconium is black all the way though therefore any scratches or chips over time would only show more of the black metal. It is also a great choice for those with base metal allergies. Zirconium has been found in S-type stars and identified in meteorites and the sun making it a unique choice for your ring.
titanium
Lightweight, high strength and durable, titanium is a popular metal for a wedding band. Completely hypoallergenic, titanium is so safe for the skin and body that it’s oxide is even used in some types of toothpaste. For a further personal feel to your all important wedding band, titanium can have custom engraving and designs on both the inside and outside of the ring, it can even be anodized to produce astonishing colours. In addition, diamonds, gemstones, and inlays can be set into the ring, giving you further options when creating your bespoke ring
tungsten
Tungsten carbide is one of the world’s hardest metals, comparable only to platinum and diamonds. It is four times stiffer than steel and is a much heavier and denser metal than steel or titanium. It is comparable with a sapphire in hardness and can only be polished and finished with diamond wheels and compounds. It’s also one of the most popular and fashionable alternative metal choices for men’s diamond wedding bands and other jewellery, due to its high strength and durability.
solid black diamond
The solid black diamond band is high endurance and have been created by proprietary technology with a multi-crystal black diamond matrix which resists all scratching and lasts forever. More enduring than titanium and harder than tungsten, the solid diamond maintains an artisan sheen which will never fade, producing infinite perfection outlasting silver, gold and platinum. Traditional materials scratch and mar easily and struggle to hold up in any working environment even in the mildest of conditions, however this solid black diamond is completely different to any other material and remains in condition.
stainless steel
Similar in appearance to silver, stainless steel is actually harder than silver and will not tarnish. White gold and sterling silver pieces often contain a metal called ‘nickel’ which can cause allergic reactions in some people. Stainless steel jewellery can be, but is not always, made without nickel making it suitable for those allergic to nickel. Depending upon the shape and type of jewellery, stainless steel may be more difficult and hence more expensive than a corresponding piece of silver jewelry. Stainless steel does not have the same luster or shine as other metals but some prefer its slightly more metallic appearance and it is particularly popular amongst for men’s diamond wedding bands.
yellow gold
Gold is the world’s most popular choice for jewellery. Whether it’s the traditional yellow and white gold, or the less common colored varieties, it’s a wonderful choice for any jewelry purchase. Gold is a relatively durable metal meaning it is a good choice for men’s diamond wedding bands, creating a stunning traditional look.
